Employment contracts for qbcc nominee
As a growing firm, our Practice Director has extensive experience in assisting employers across Australia with a focus on the building and construction industry, including employment contracts addressing the obligations of your QBCC nominee. Our firm specialises in the Brisbane building industry (construction, demolition, piling, air conditioning, plumbing, fire, concrete pumping, and HVAC industries) in Queensland. We also regularly act for Brisbane employers in the finance, education, government, property, medical, oil & gas, and hospitality industries in employment law issues. This depth of experience makes us well placed in Brisbane to assist you and your nominee with contract obligations.
Workforce Advisory supports clients with their employment law issues, including employment contracts for key persons like supervisors, estimators or QBCC nominees.
QBCC Nominee contracts have a strong focus on statutory compliance, warranties, confidential information, supervision and post-employment obligations.
Queensland companies providing building services are required to be licensed by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (‘QBCC’). The company must not perform building works unless they have appointed a nominee who holds a contractor’s licence or a nominee supervisor’s licence for the building works under the company’s licence.
As an employee, director or secretary of the company, the nominee must ensure that the building work is “adequately supervised” as detailed in your management systems and the employment contract.
The QBCC may request a copy of your nominee’s employment contract to ensure compliance with the Act.
